About Me

Hi there!

Welcome to my blog. My blog is about....me. And everything that is in my head and what happens in my life. Last year I returned from Nicaragua, where I spent 3 years with my hubby and 3 boys working for Mennonite Central Committee, in the area of community development. It has been my dream for as long as I can remember to work and serve the Lord overseas.

I've moved over 35 times in my life, spending most of it in New England (go Patriots!) until I went to college in PA, where I met my man. We've been married 10 years now, and God has led us through some intense and fiery trials, including the loss of a few babies through an ectopic pregnancy and neonatal death, 2 high-risk pregnancies, and several surgeries. So when I talk on my blog about faith, grace and trusting in God, they aren't cliches. They come from a long line of tough experiences that we've walked through, with God at our side.

Right now we are taking some time in the States to rest up, recuperate and heal from the last 5 years, and we hope to return to Nicaragua in the next year or two to live and minister, independently. Our dream is to buy a demonstration farm and work with the locals in the area of sustainable agriculture, baking and crafts workshops, as well as Bible studies and possibly marriage retreats. When we dream of Nicaragua, we dream of so many things. Who knows? God promises us that He will do more that we can ask or even imagine.

So check back in with us as we go along for a wild adventure!
